Role
Who you are
- Proficiency in Python with a strong understanding of best practices, design patterns, and modern Python frameworks
- Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment in both cloud and edge environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in Linux-based environments
- Knowledge of network communication protocols and distributed systems
- Some familiarity with RF technologies or satellite communication is a plus, but not required
- Bonus: Experience with GNURadio and digital signal processing (DSP)
What the job involves
- We are seeking a versatile Ground Segment Software Engineer to join our team. This role is central to our mission, focusing on building robust ground segment software for space communications
- You will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying Python-based services that form the backbone of our global control and data plane systems, enabling seamless satellite communications worldwide
- Design, implement, and maintain Python-based services for the control and data planes of our ground segment systems
- Develop containerized applications and deploy them using Docker to cloud and edge environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration between ground segment services and RF systems
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability of services
