Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in in a related field such as Business, Marketing, Communications, or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of demonstrated success supporting or owning a full-cycle, consultative sales role where you solved problems with a valuable solution
- Understanding of sales fundamentals including prospecting, outbound cold calling and CRMs (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience working with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product or in the technology or data industries is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to unique customer needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams
- Highly motivated, with a proactive and self-driven approach to achieving sales goals
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving company that will experience major internal change and growth every year
What the job involves
- Become an expert in the Scorabilty software platform so you can show prospects the value of our service
- Heavily prospect and outbound call in a relationship-oriented, consultative manner
- Maintain an all-hands-on deck mentality with openness and willingness to try new techniques and support the building of the sales function in any way possible
- Conduct conversational product demos for prospective customers, serving as a trusted, knowledgeable resource
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales Operations to execute sales strategy and constantly refine the sales process from initial outreach to demo to pricing to close
- Immediately transition closed won accounts to the assigned Customer Success Manager
- Embrace continuing education and ongoing feedback to constantly improve your craft
- Thoroughly and efficiently use our technology stack (i.e. SFDC, Outreach, Gong) to help make your job easier and provide the insights needed to improve the health of the business
- Be a positive contributor to the company culture and the experience of your peers
Our take
College athletics is a huge industry in the US but has often come under fire for its lack of transparency and bad economic treatment of college athletes. Scorability is a software company trying to increase the transparency and honesty of college athletics through its recruitment engine.
Marketed to coaches at all skill levels across various college sports, Scorability’s engine aims to identify, engage and attract the best sports players for the clients’ programs. Coaches and scouts benefit from efficient searches and athletes benefit from a more direct and transparent recruitment process.
Due to the unique nature of the US college sports ecosystem, Scorability is yet to develop products that will draw in more international clients. However, that hasn’t stopped the company from amassing an impressive seed funding round that it has channeled into building its team and bringing its software to market.
