Accounts Payable Specialist, Ramp

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting and AP
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and best practices
• Prior experience working with expense management / AP software (Ramp preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
• Extreme attention to detail and high regard for precision
• Excellent data entry skills
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

• Ramp is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team
• In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with other members of the Accounting and Finance teams
• This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
• This role will also assist with our annual audit, tax filings and other regulatory requests as needed
• Manage accounts payable and ensure proper controls in the cash disbursement process
• Record and reconcile cash transactions in Netsuite
• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors promptly and professionally
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of vendor transactions
• Assist in the preparation of month-end reports, accruals, and reconciliation of accounts payable balances
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors as requested
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance workflow efficiency, and reduce payment delays
• Work with Product, Engineering and other teams to enhance Ramp as a solution for other customers
• Ad-hoc accounting and finance related requests
