Who you are

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Full cycle SaaS Sales Experience from prospect to close, as an Account Executive or related cross-functional role like Sales Engineer
  • Strong outbound prospector and have had success at closing net new business deals
  • Understands the importance of prospecting and selling face to face, attending events, and being part of local communities (product, marketing, analytics environment)
  • Demonstrable ability to accurately forecast
  • Effective communicator and collaborator — you have strong interpersonal skills and are an excellent team player
  • Adaptability — you understand that change is constant, and you embrace it
  • Agility and resilience
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a drive to excel
  • Curiosity for the product analytics space
  • Speaks German fluently

Desirable

  • Deep understanding of MEDDPICC or similar. You need to have a process or framework for qualification and opportunity management
  • Fintech, consumer Apps, Entertainment experience
  • Experience selling into high-growth tech companies
  • Experience with Mixpanel or other analytics tools
  • Effectively prospecting Mixpanel and the hiring manager
  • Additional European languages

What the job involves

  • We are looking for an Account Executive with experience in selling data and marketing-focused software
  • Reporting to a team lead, you are based in London or close enough to be present in the office with the rest of the team on a regular basis
  • You will be an impact player, able to demonstrate SaaS sales success in prospecting and acquiring new customers within the SMB segment, and working with some of the hottest startups in the region
  • Targeting preselected account base of 100-120 based on ICPs with an average order value of circa $25k+ ARR
  • As a New Business Account Executive, you'll help our future customers understand the power of Mixpanel as the best-in-class product analytics solution in the market
  • Collaboration is key, from building strong relationships with prospects and key stakeholders to working with internal cross-functional partners like Sales Engineering to win together as one team
  • You'll leverage your prospecting skills selling SaaS to tech companies alongside strong knowledge of Mixpanel's product and ecosystem to close new business, powering the next generation of innovative companies
  • Prospect into specific targeted accounts — build and maintain pipeline while owning the sales cycle from start to finish
  • Solution demonstration in front of C-level customers, champions, and technical stakeholders
  • Drive awareness of Mixpanel as a solution within the marketplace through effective outbound while also handling inbound requests from interested prospects

Technology VC firm Sequoia Capital has backed the company, demonstrating its significant growth potential. Mixpanel CEO Max Levchin was also a previous co-founder of Paypal, which may have helped the company facilitate a tie-up with Paypal-owned Venmo early on. Mixpanel now serves thousands of companies from different industries around the world, including Expedia, Uber, Ancestry, DocuSign, and Lemonade.
