• Experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or sourcing — ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
• Proficient in using sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, Welcome to the Jungle, Cord, Ashby)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and excited by a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Passionate about building diverse, high-performing teams
• All-in: You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and handle whatever needs doing — from chasing down invoices to building financial models. You have no problems ‘taking out the trash’
• Entrepreneurial: You’re a creative, resourceful generalist. You like solving problems, figuring things out fast, and working with limited structure or playbooks
• ~4-7 years of talent acquisition experience in a fast-paced startup environment
• Proven ability to just GSD. Directly, and via influence / leadership

• Kernel AI is growing, and we’re looking for a proactive and resourceful Senior Talent Acquisition lead to help us scale. As one of the first dedicated hires on our People team, you'll play a key role in building out a strong and diverse candidate pipeline across a variety of roles — from engineering to operations — ensuring we stay ahead of hiring needs as the company expands
• Your core focus will be sourcing top talent and implementing scalable strategies to attract, engage, and convert candidates. You’ll own the early stages of the recruitment funnel and work closely with hiring managers to continuously refine our outreach, process, and candidate experience
• Hours - This will be an exciting but intense job. Kernel is growing extremely fast and hours can often be long
• Working location - Minimum 4 days a week in the London office (most people do 5)
• Own top-of-funnel recruiting: proactively source, engage, and nurture talent across technical and non-technical roles
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of passive candidates
• Coordinate interviews and candidate communications to ensure a seamless experience
• Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring goals
• Support employer branding initiatives and outreach strategies
• Help design and improve our recruitment workflows, tools, and metrics
• Collaborate with the broader Operations team on process-building and team initiatives
