Who you are
- Experience working in Software Asset Management governance
- Familiarity with IT SDLC and Agile processes is desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work independently to resolve issues and remove barriers to progress
Desirable
- Experience and familiarity with IT SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and/or Agile IT development
- CMDB implementation and support experience
- Experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow CMDB, Software Asset Management, and/or Change Management processes and workflows
- Familiarity and experience with Software Asset Management tools (Intello, Productive, LeanIX, ServiceNow, etc.)

- Areas of work include Technical Programs, Sales and Marketing Systems, Salesforce Development, IT Infrastructure, Security Operations, Collaboration Tools, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Systems Analysis
- As a Software Asset Management Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing the management and deployment of software across Dropbox
- You will drive the implementation of the Software Asset Management policy from gap analysis to developing execution plans
- You will be responsible for implementing the approach to optimization and compliance strategies - either via implementing automation, data analysis, or partnering with other technology teams
- You will develop important IT governance skills and knowledge of leading SAM tooling in the technology industry
- Partner with Security, ITS, Legal, and Engineering teams to enhance Software Asset Management (SAM) processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and execute a SAM roadmap, integrating best practices for risk mitigation, cost optimization, and automation of manual tasks
- Conduct software license assessments, optimization reviews, and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
- Improve data integration, system capabilities, and user access lifecycle while maintaining training materials for stakeholders
- Maintain accurate software asset and CMDB data, implementing accountability measures and compliance reporting
- Define and deploy CMDB processes, manage audits, and lead process improvements in ServiceNow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cost efficiency, and overall service delivery
Our take
Dropbox started by helping people bring together their files in one central place. The contents of these folders are synchronised to Dropbox's servers along with other computers and devices where the user has installed Dropbox, keeping the same files up-to-date across all devices.
Nowadays, there are lots of competing companies in cloud storage, and some with better distribution (e.g. Google and Apple). This explains why Dropbox is making a big push to reinvent itself after a fairly disappointing run since its IPO in 2018. The new Dropbox turns folders into "Spaces", which are collaboration hubs for teams, complete with comment streams, artificial intelligence tools and integrations into services such as Slack.
The company continues to build out its offerings through acquisitions, such as that of Formswift, bolstering its end-to-end agreement workflow capabilities. Indeed, It's very clear that Dropbox is trying to make a big move from being just a storage company. This seems to be a necessary move given the competitive nature of the industry it is operating within.
