Who you are
- All candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- A master's degree in computer science/engineering or MBA is highly preferred
- To be considered for this role, candidates must have 15+ years of increasing experience and responsibility in a solution engineering environment
- Strong project management experience is required
- Candidates must be viewed as technical visionaries and demonstrate their success in innovating solutions for strategic customers
- Candidates should have intellectual curiosity, be a good listener, be willing to adopt new perspectives, and be able to build strong cross-functional relationships
- An ability to build a strategic plan and deliver expected results on budget and on time is important
- Ability to prioritize engagement and support in line with the Division’s strategic focus is necessary
- Candidates should be prepared to explain their vision for a high functioning solution engineering team and how to effectively implement that vision and ensure results
- Finally, all candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication as well as an ability to persuade others to a particular point of view
What the job involves
- SentinelOne is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to be responsible for managing a team of Solution Engineers aligned to the CEUR Region
- Manage a team of solutions engineers for the CEUR region
- Motivate and lead a high-performing technical team while partnering with customers, business development, and leadership
- Solve complex problems in ambiguous situations while building solutions addressing diverse concerns
- Implementation and management of an effective SE Strategy
- Build strong, productive relationships with your prospects, customers, team and more
- Recruit and onboard new customers while focusing on growing new business opportunities
- Provide roadmap and strategic discussions with customers and prospects

Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
