Role
Who you are
- Competitive academic or extracurricular achievement, e.g. a degree from a selective school or strong college athletics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management consulting or People Operations at a tech company or startup. Proven experience in onboarding, payroll management, and benefits administration. Prior experience owning and implementing a more mature onboarding experience is a big plus
- Proficiency with data analysis in spreadsheets (pivot tables, index match functions) and HRIS systems
- Demonstrated ability to make objective, data-backed decisions, avoiding emotional biases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to actively listen and interact with employees at all levels
- Experience in planning or chairing social activities- Strong sense of optimism and understanding of human psychology and the impact drivers in a work setting
- High ethical standards and integrity, ensuring confidentiality and privacy in all HR matters
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
What the job involves
- With your culture hat, you’re going to be planning onsite and offsite events, help manage and send books and other swag out from the team library, and generally embody and scale the energy and values of the company
- You'll be involved with our leadership in thinking about our values as our company and how we can communicate them across the company
- With your people hat, you’re going to help survey, plan, and manage our health insurance and payroll. You'll also be helping manage our Performance Management cycles
- You’ll be handling the important functions traditionally called “HR” that help people feel like people
- Finally, with your office hat, you'll be helping us optimize and manage the office so the team can maximize our time together
- Fulfill traditional roles of HR and office manager
- Create light and flexible processes for handling the growing needs from 50+ to 100+
Our take
Having a solid credit history is a fundamental building block for financial health and there is a large market of people looking to build or rebuild their credit scores. Roughly half of all American adults have subprime credit or no credit whatsoever, and it’s safe to say there is a demand for credit products tailored to beginners and builders.
Kikoff is a credit-building platform aimed at Millennials and GenZ. Their signature product helps consumers without a credit history to positively influence several key aspects of their credit score. This includes their payment history, how much they owe, and the length of their account history.
Kikoff's goal is to help customers across their entire financial journeys and create a simple and positive banking relationship: from stabilizing cash flows to accumulating savings, and building towards long-term goals such as a mortgage. The company plans to build out its technology and team, across all function areas, to bring new products to market in the future.
