Role
Who you are
- A minimum of 1 years of relevant events experience is required, ideally but not necessarily in FinTech, payments, gambling and casino, or a similar sector
- Organised: Excellent project management and multitasking skills with attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative: Able to ideate and develop innovative event concepts, merchandise and collateral
- Proactive: Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A great communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience working in the payments, gambling and casino or crypto sector is a plus
- Proficiency in HubSpot, Click Up, podcast and webinar platforms (like - but not exclusive to - Riverside FM and Go To Webinar) is a bonus
- Ability to collaborate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams (weʼre a small - but rapidly growing - team and work very closely together)
- Weʼre keen to try new things at existing events as well as new events, meaning our level of commitment and what that looks like can change. Adaptability will be your super power!
- A solutions-oriented mindset and comfort with problem-solving and resolving challenges, even at the last minute
What the job involves
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Yaspaʼs attendance at UK-based and overseas events (including awards ceremonies), including industry expos and conferences in the gambling and fintech sectors
- With support and collaboration from the wider Marketing Team, manage the end-to-end process for Yaspa-hosted events, such as webinars and workshops
- Liaise with external vendors, venues, and partners to ensure seamless event delivery
- Handle event logistics, including booth design, collateral preparation, branded merchandise and giveaways, and on-site coordination
- Oversee and manage the Yaspa events and awards calendar
- Develop and own Yaspaʼs annual events plan, ensuring it aligns with the wider Marketing Teamʼs plans and business goals
- Monitor and log competitor activity and presence at events, such as stand designs, as well as industry event trends to inform event plans
- Coordinating and arranging travel and accommodation for colleagues attending events
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns for events
- Work with the Marketing Team to equip them with details they need to create engaging content for event communications, like email campaigns and social media posts
- Lead on the sourcing of internal staff merchandise, including owning and managing relationships with vendors
- Stay up to date with award submission deadlines and coordinate the entry of submissions by the wider Marketing Team
- Scope out and coordinate speaker opportunities at events with support from the Marketing Team
