Who you are

Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Java
Proficiency in designing and developing large-scale, high-performance applications using Java, Spring framework, and related technologies
In-depth understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
Experience with modern software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
Solid knowledge of databases, SQL, and ORM frameworks
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Java
Proven experience as a software engineer, with a focus on platform development, distributed systems, and data storage at scale
Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
Experience with developing and maintaining observability capabilities
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef)
Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and their integration with platform components
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving development environment

The Software Platform Team at FreeWire is looking for exceptional Java developers to help us build a world-class software platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, implement and deploy business-critical services in Java
Design, implement and deploy business-critical enterprise-grade Java services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Get us closer to our engineering goals however you see fit (e.g. coaching, mentoring, new initiatives, etc.)

FreeWire Technologies manufactures smart battery systems for ultrafast Electric Vehicle charging, and mobile distributed power. Aside from lowering charging point installation time and cost, and vehicle charging time itself, the greatest draw of FreeWire’s solution is that it lowers pressure on the electricity grid.
