Who you are

Strong proficiency in utilizing various product management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Computer Science, or related discipline
8+ years of professional experience
Prior product management experience of enterprise data platforms is a plus.
2+ years of experience with data management and/or data engineering product development or management
Strong understanding of cloud computing (Google Cloud, Azure) and software development practices; familiarity with managing developer/scientific platforms, tools and services is highly desirable.

Desirable

Experience with knowledge base, knowledge graph, or linked data and ontology is strongly preferred.
Masters or PhD in Life Science, Computer Science, or related discipline
Strong understanding of data management, including data governance, quality, ETL, data integration and security management.

What the job involves

Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our Data and Knowledge Platform, aligning with the Onyx’s overall goals and objectives
Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and functionalities for the platform based on user analysis, customer feedback, and business requirements
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, AI/ML, Genomics Sciences, R&D Tech, Research Units and portfolio teams to ensure successful product development and deployment
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and incorporate it into product planning and development processes
Product Launch: Plan and oversee product launches, ensuring effective communication, documentation, and training to drive product adoption and success
Performance Measurement: Define key product metrics, establish monitoring systems, and regularly evaluate and report on the performance and success of the Data and Knowledge Platform
Product Ambassador: Serve as an ambassador of the Data and Knowledge Platform, effectively communicating its value and benefits to GSK Research and Development leadership and identifying potential customers
Industry Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in DataOps tools, frameworks and technology, applying industry knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage
Team Leadership: As the Onyx organization grows, hire, manage and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

GSK Tech is set to build a suite of next-generation platforms for data- and prediction-driven drug discovery in support of GSK's Research and AI/ML organizations, and an industry-leading data engineering function in support of AI/ML and Genomic Sciences.
