- 3–5 years of work experience in a highly analytical role across Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Finance, Sales Operations, and/or Analytics
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills, as well as curiosity and a passion for research
- A spreadsheet wizard with the ability to manipulate, model, and analyze data
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and capacity to direct, produce, and communicate analyses
- Effective communicator who can break down convoluted technical concepts into simple business vernacular
- Experience with a major business intelligence tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Comfortable navigating Salesforce with relative ease
What the job involves
- As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will drive commercial excellence by analyzing sales and commercial data to deliver actionable insights and unlock revenue opportunities
- In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for learning the ins and outs of our sales business, building strong relationships with commercial and finance leadership and spearheading initiatives that enhance team performance and strategic decision-making
- Lead analyses to optimize sales effectiveness, evaluate commercial traction, and provide actionable insights for strategic decisions
- Develop and refine KPIs and performance metrics while building and maintaining automated reporting solutions and dashboards to track key business outcomes
- Collaborate closely with sales leaders, marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams to identify business needs and implement solutions that drive alignment and productivity
- Build and manage scalable reporting solutions for internal stakeholders, ensuring data integrity across Salesforce and related tools
- Analyze actual results versus plan, identify key trends impacting the business, and provide insights to the Executive Team
- Prepare and present performance reviews with senior management and key stakeholders
- Partner on ad-hoc cross-functional projects to address business challenges and support strategic initiatives

Our take
Though health and genetic data are increasingly available in large quantities to healthcare providers, it can be very difficult to gain insights from it. Data processing is a significant bottleneck, and important information which could be vital to a patient's health can easily be overlooked or misinterpreted. SOPHiA GENETICS has developed a SaaS platform which seeks to change this, by processing raw data received from partner institutions and then returning a standardised report which can be actioned by the end user. The platform then learns from this process, becoming more capable the more data it receives.
The global healthcare AI market is thriving, with numerous large competitors in the sector such as Welltok, iCarbonX and IBM (Watson Health). However, SOPHiA's USP is its support of democratizing health data, which means that it has continually worked closely with a variety of healthcare providers each using different instruments, and providing non-standardized data. While this was initially a hurdle, once overcome it has become a strength, allowing the platform to engage with the equipment a healthcare provider has rather than requiring a particular inventory.
SOPHiA went public in 2021 and since then has pursued collaborations with institutions and companies that focus on cancer screening and diagnostics. Most recently the company launched advanced MRD tracking capabilities, further innovating in the oncology space. With these cutting-edge tools. SOPHiA strengthens its leadership in data-driven medicine, paving the way for more personalized healthcare.
