Role
Who you are
- Understanding of at least one programming language, such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python
- Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming paradigms
- Fundamental knowledge of relational database concepts
- Experience with a source control system (e.g., Git, Subversion, or Perforce)
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Enthusiasm for supporting and collaborating with colleagues
- Proficient in English (verbal and written)

- As an Associate Software Engineer at Upscale, you will engage in hands-on collaboration with experienced professionals, gaining valuable mentorship and experience
- You will participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing and deployment
- Your fresh perspective and enthusiasm will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' needs
- Work effectively within an Agile team alongside Engineers, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and User Experience professionals
- Contribute to fostering an open and collaborative atmosphere within the team
- Embrace a continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on creating customer value
- Write clean, readable code and robust automated tests
- Review the code of other engineers for quality and security
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of high-quality solutions using design patterns
- Contribute to the enhancement of our software delivery pipeline
- Perform root cause analysis to understand key underlying causes of customer issues
- Debug technical issues and formulate hypotheses for resolution

Worked as a Senior Security Consultant for Barclaycard, and was Director of WTG. First joined Adaptavist as a Board Advisor, and was made CEO in 2010.

Reece joined TAG as an Associate Software Engineer in May 2019. Within 5 months, they advanced to Software Engineer, then to Senior in under two years, and by September 2024, became Staff Engineer.
Sarah joined TAG as a Project Manager in 2017 in the Toronto office. They found their true calling in Sales and made an internal move a couple of years later and have since advanced to become a Strategic Sales Executive.
Rodrigo initially worked with TAG as a Contractor before joining the UK team permanently as a Commercial Operations Analyst. Since then, they moved to the Madrid office as a Business Operations Manager.
