Role
Who you are
- At least 5 years of previous experience in partnership management or business development, or similar experience that demonstrates a capacity to build and manage relationships, influence stakeholders, and negotiate agreements
- Previous experience in a SaaS company or within the automotive, energy or CleanTech industry. Previous roaming-related (e.g. OCPI) knowledge a plus
- The capacity to build expert knowledge of our roaming services and functionality
- A customer-centric and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness and ability to own problems to their resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work with software tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and Excel. Experience with tools such as Atlan, Tableau, Kibana and other similar platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (any additional language is a plus, particularly German)
- Willingness to travel internationally occasionally for workshops with internal stakeholders, partners, or customers (within Europe)
What the job involves
- Senior Director, Roaming Partnerships and Integrations
- The Roaming Partner Management team is a specialist team within ChargePoint who are responsible for maintaining, strengthening, and growing ChargePoint’s 700+ roaming and OCPI-based partnerships across Europe and North America
- This team meets and works with partners proactively and reactively on key business-related issues
- It builds new relationships with market players, negotiates and manages agreements, and is overall responsible for the health of these partners which we are connected to via various APIs
- This team is supported by various other functions in the business, including the Roaming Operations team, Customer Excellence team, Finance team, and Legal team
- This role will lead a team of 1-3 specialists to build new relationships with key Charge Point Operators (CPOs), e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs), and other entities (e.g. mapping services) that would connect to ChargePoint’s software platform via API
- The successful candidate will sign new agreements and work with our Roaming Operations team to implement new APIs to the partners
- The candidate will also manage some existing relationships, for example partners connected through clearing houses, and may be involved in tasks associated with managing these integrations (e.g. tariff and data management, contract reviews, working with partners to resolve production issues)
- The role may also have an advisory function, helping large ChargePoint customers to navigate the public charging ecosystem and brokering discussions between customers and other leading external partners
- The successful candidate will interact with a range of software tools used internally, including Salesforce, Confluence, Tableau, and Jira, as well as custom-built interfaces
- They may also interact with tools developed by our partners, including Hubject, Gireve, and eClearing
Our take
Electric vehicles are predicted to account for nearly 30% of new vehicle sales by 2025, which means the need for EV charging infrastructure is on the rise. ChargePoint supplies just such infrastructure, with hardware, software and mobile solutions for "every charging need".
Boasting the world’s largest EV charging network, the company also provides complimentary services for drivers, businesses and fleets. These include, for example, a mobile app for finding and paying for charging, and project management tools for making the switch to EVs.
Having already established a strong presence in the lucrative and expanding EV charging market, ChargePoint is well-positioned to support the electric mobility revolution. It serves a range of clients across North America and Europe, including Wells Fargo which it partnered to create financing solutions for EV infrastructure. November 2025 saw funds secured that will support its goal of reaching profitability in the near future.
