Role
Who you are
- You have 2+ years of experience working as a content designer/UX copywriter
- You have some experience with brand writing and have a solid understanding of tone of voice
- You’re a strong communicator, who is comfortable collaborating with all levels of the organisation
- You’re passionate about creating clear, accessible and joyful experiences for everyone
What the job involves
- As our first Content Design hire, you’ll lay the foundations of the function at Otta, upgrading our approach to content across the organisation
- You’ll work across all 6 of our product squads, collaborating closely with Product Designers and Product Managers to convey complex concepts in simple, user-centric ways
- You’ll occasionally get stuck in with the Marketing and Growth teams to produce effective ads and landing pages, ensuring a coherent transition from marketing content to the product experience
- You’ll inspire, educate and empower people around the business to produce excellent content

- Though we’re quite early in our journey, our employees are starting to roll out initiatives that help us to better understand and empathise with each other and the world around us. We collect meaningful data in our onboarding survey, conduct privilege awareness workshops as part of employee onboarding, and anonymise tasks during interview processes to eliminate bias. Diverse employees make for an inclusive product.
