Who you are

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in developing recruiting software
Must have experience with:
Enterprise software development influencing organization best practices
SQL, Python, Java and JavaScript development
Modern data warehousing technologies such as AWS Redshift, BigQuery, and Snowflake
Cloud-based web services such as AWS Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Lambda
Best practices in building data pipelines and data model
Multiple design patterns, including Strategy, Observer, and Bridge; test design, test creation, test execution, and defect analysis/root cause investigation
Multiple best practices, such as Test Driven Development (TDD), behavioral-driven development (BDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD)
And docker containerization and setting up and modifying build and release tools such as Jenkins and AWS elastic beanstalk

What the job involves

ICims, Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer (Holmdel, NJ) to execute data engineering functions such as data extraction, loading, transformation, and integration in support of enterprise data infrastructures, data warehouse, operational data stores, and master data management
Drive the implementation and the sustainment of an overarching data architecture vision and strategy to maximize the optimization of data assets for the enterprise
Provide technical leadership in architectural design and planning, as well as solution delivery across multiple portfolios
Produce integrated data solutions across domains, build data designs for new data products, and put the architectural decisions into reality
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements by eliminating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability
Support architects, software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects across multiple portfolios
Local telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
