Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, DocuSign

• 15+ years of public and corporate accounting experience with at least 6 years leading teams
• CPA License
• Multi-national, public company experience required
• Expert on complex accounting matters such as stock-based compensation, investments (including VIE), purchase price accounting, revenue recognition, leases, goodwill/intangibles and impairment assessments, and financial instruments

Desirable

• The Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting will oversee the technical accounting and external reporting function
• Build and develop a team of approximately 5 employees
• Manage the preparation and filings of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K (earnings releases, etc.) with the SEC filings as well as all financial footnotes and disclosures. Effectively liaise with accounting, FP&A, legal and IR on deliverables
• Be responsible for all technical accounting and disclosures, including research and preparation of technical accounting memos and working with third-party consultants, as needed to support conclusions
• Determine impact of upcoming and potential accounting and regulatory changes and proactively prepare the organization
• Lead Disclosure Committee and drive senior engagement with education and areas of focused attention
• Provide ongoing technical training for the accounting organization, including the Company’s foreign entities, and drive a controls-minded approach to financial reporting
• Partner with Accounting Operations to develop and revise accounting policies
