Who you are
- Fully proficient French and English speaker based in France (preferably Paris)
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in business development/sales and/or key account management, preferably in travel-related products
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- A global mindset and comfort working with people from different cultural backgrounds and time zones
- A collaborative attitude with a proactive and hands-on approach
- Experience working with a CRM and a willingness to learn and use new tools
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager, France to join our Business Team. You will lead our commercial efforts and expansion in the France region
- You will be the face and voice of Headout to our Supply Partners in the region reporting directly into the General Manager, France
- Innovate. You will play a crucial role in launching new initiatives, onboarding supply partners, expanding our offerings, and managing distribution-side partnerships in the France region
- Cultivate. Continuously develop relationships with supply partners and grow key accounts to scale them to higher revenues
- Collaborate. Work with internal stakeholders (Operations, Tech, Marketing, etc.) and your accounts to ensure smooth execution of partnerships and growth in sales & bookings
- Analyze. Identify market trends and provide market and competitor analysis to optimize business development and sales strategies
Our take
Over 25 million people from over 105 different cities have purchased a ticket for something on Headout, the mobile-first travel experience and activity platform. It’s a digital marketplace where users can browse tickets to leisure activities in their area, and providers can in turn get help filling last-minute slots.
Unlike some travel and hospitality businesses, Headout has already bounced back and surpassed its pre-pandemic revenue (3.1 Yx oY) and growth (3.2 x YoY) levels. The key was to focus on domestic travel, a new vertical it intends to expand in future with new funding on the table. It’s also looking to aggressively grow its footprint to add hundreds of new cities over the coming years, having doubled its business team in 2023.
Headout is in a very comfortable position to do so: every transaction it carries out is profitable, and there’s plenty of runway on its current funding. This means the team can focus on building out new features for both users and providers. The quality of its product will be its key advantage over Airbnb, which has for a while now been developing a competing marketplace.
