What the job involves

  • Avant Art’s content and marketing has a reputation as among the most innovative and high-quality of any in the art world, and is an extension of the brand's mission to make collecting art more accessible
  • The Creative or Junior Creative, plays a central role in delivering and supporting this, being part of a team who create cut-through content that tells the story of each and every artwork we release
  • Creating on-brand visual and written content to support the launch of limited edition artworks
  • Developing innovative concepts and campaign proposals for collaborations with artists and institutions
  • Writing pitches and briefs which articulate your ideas precisely and compellingly
  • Delivering assets and copy for website and social media, plus front-end page builds using CMS
  • Providing content and copy support to channel leads and the wider business, where required
  • Using insights to guide iterative optimisations to improve your own and the wider teams output
  • Working strategically to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Collaborating with writers, photographers, videographers, editors and producers
  • Contributing to overarching brand content initiatives and ad hoc creative briefs

Our take

Avant Arte started as an online community in 2015, and quickly gained a huge organic following (they currently have 2.5m+ followers on Instagram). They're now using their platform as a way to inspire and enable the next generation of art collectors.

They work with leading global contemporary artists and rising stars to produce limited edition sculptures and print editions, which they sell through their own platform (splitting profits with the artist for providing access to their pool of art collectors). The majority of their launches all sell out within minutes, showing huge demand for their products.

They're looking to disrupt the global art market, which is worth ~$70bn a year and growing. This is a space that has been dominated by auction houses like Sotheby's and Christie's and large powerful galleries like Gagosian. With a Product team run by Diogo Teles (formerly of Booking.com and REKKI) and Engineering team run by Riaz Bordie (formerly Check.com), the company’s strategy focuses on creating the best experience for buying art online, as well as fostering their community of next generation collectors and building a platform to serve all of their needs.
