Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of sourcing/full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house experience is preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record sourcing and hiring passive candidates from top companies. You do not rely on inbound applicants or third party agencies
- Self-starting, scrappy and resourceful work ethic requiring minimal to no guidance
- You can think on your feet but have enough humility to ask questions
- Interested in stretching out to cover wider range recruitment projects

- As a Talent Acquisition Partner you’ll support our Warehouses and Logistics teams at Weee!
- This is a 3-6 month contract in Fremont, CA
- Work schedule is onsite in Fremont, Monday through Friday during regular business hours and the ability to support teams in Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern time zones
- Support and partner closely with Fulfillment Center leadership to expand Operations, Business Development, Logistics, and Delivery for the continued expansion of the business
- Partner closely with Regional Operations business leaders and managers to become a subject matter expert in delivery and operations hiring
- Lead regional hiring through administering job postings and applicant tracking databases, tracking recruiting data, and coordinating the hiring processes
- Strategize and leverage various sourcing techniques and channels to identify candidates and maintain a healthy pipeline for priority roles
- Serve as the Weee!’s cultural evangelist. Maintain professional and courteous communication with candidates to foster long-term relationships
- Draw upon a proven recruiting background to identify and manage candidates throughout the hiring process, from initial contact through offer accept
- Meticulously track and maintain up to date and compliant record of candidate pipelines in our ATS
- Implement and execute recruiting programs to attract top talent
- Report timely recruiting progress and run reports to share with leadership
Our take
It's often hard to find foreign or imported food ingredients in the United States. Weee is an online delivery platform aiming to address this by offering groceries and products for Asian Americans and underserved communities across North America. CEO Larry Lui founded the company after having difficulty finding Chinese ingredients in local stores when he moved to the U.S.
Since its launch in 2015, Weee caters to approximately 300,000 households in the U.S and fulfils thousands of orders a day. Originally targeting Asian consumers, the company now brands itself as an “ethnic e-grocer” in a move to attract the United States' 60 million Hispanic consumers as well. This diversification is in response to growing competition in the Asian grocery space from the likes of e-grocers Chowbus and Umamicart and retail chains H Mart and 99 Ranch Market.
The ethnic grocery market is expected to reach more than $460 billion by 2030. Weee plan to grow into this market by launching its service in over 30 additional North American cities over the next three years, expanding into the Canadian market as well. Further, 2022 funding will be used to tap into new cultural cuisines and scale development in AI and warehouse automation.
