- Excellent written communication skills
- 2+ years experience in digital marketing and SEO optimization within a WordPress environment
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing
- Develop optimization strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings
- Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy
- SEO keyword research for illumin’s website and marketing materials
- Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance, optimize existing content, and identify opportunities for organic growth
- Optimize pre-existing content according to SEO best practices
- Troubleshoot site issues that may obstruct search crawl and indexing
- Keyword research
- Ensure content adheres to the company’s digital brand identity
- Help the team with traditional and product marketing initiatives and backup team members when necessary
Our take
Programmatic advertising has quickly become one of the most important channels for businesses looking to find and convert customers. However, maximising return in the industry is notoriously difficult, which is where Illumin comes in.
Previously known as AcuityAds, the startup focuses on maximising the potential of programmatic advertising while mitigating its major shortcomings. Specifically, that means a fine-tuned machine learning algorithm that utilizes bidding technology to optimize campaigns in real-time. On the other hand, the company prioritises privacy and trust earning long-term partnerships with major brands.
After establishing a strong presence in the Canadian and US markets, the company is looking to pursue international expansion in Europe and Latin America. As it operates in an increasingly saturated market, Illumin will surely have to invest heavily in its central technology to continue to compete, but if its past successes are anything to go by, it certainly remains one to watch.
