Who you are
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Experience on object-oriented design and programming using Java (2 years)
- Experience on RESTful API design and implementation (2 years)
- Good understanding and experience on Model-View-Controller framework like spring/spring boot (2 years)
- Good understanding and hands on experience about Database management and Distributed systems (2 years)
- Experience on writing SQL and stored procedures (2 years)
- Understanding and experience dealing with NoSQL datastores (1 year)
- Great understanding of testing methodologies - functional and unit testing (2 years)
- Hands on experience on application build lifecycle like Maven (2 years)
- Hands on experience on continuous development tools like Jenkins (2 years)
- Great understanding on software development lifecycle and experience on agile methodologies (2 years)
What the job involves
- 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Analyze requirements and prepare design, and develop robust, scalable software systems using object-oriented programming
- Define, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems
- Lead product design to produce clear, well and documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews
- Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop and improve the performance of individual team members and the success of the overall team
- Develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and consistency to development principles and product goals
- Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site, plan implementation, and rollout system changes
- Telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance
