Who you are
- We are looking for someone with proven expertise in business and corporate development—and the curiosity, ambition, and drive to make an impact fast. You’re a great fit if you have:
- 8–12 years of experience in business development, corporate development, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking - with exposure to gaming, entertainment, or tech
- Deal-maker mindset: you know how to originate, structure, and close complex deals
- Deep network in the gaming industry (studios, publishers, investors, platforms)
- Strong analytical skills: comfort with P&L models, valuations, and incentive alignment
- Excellent communicator who can pitch Homa with charisma, negotiate with sharpness, and nurture long-term trust
- Entrepreneurial DNA: proactive, creative, and hungry for impact
- Experience with sourcing/executing M&A or strategic investments in gaming or adjacent industries
What the job involves
- As a Director of Business Development & Corporate Development, you’ll play a key role in driving Homa’s most strategic growth initiatives. This means building elite partnerships with the top gaming studios worldwide, structuring deals that make Homa the publisher of choice, and shaping M&A and investment opportunities to accelerate our long-term vision. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identify, court, and secure long-term partnerships with the world’s best independent and mid-size gaming studios
- Design creative deal structures (co-development, publishing, revenue-sharing, joint IP creation) that align incentives and create mutual wins
- Act as a trusted advisor to studios—building bridges between their creative vision and Homa’s technology, UA, and publishing expertise
- Source, evaluate, and execute M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities across the gaming ecosystem
- Build financial models, market maps, and competitive analyses to support Board-level decisions
- Partner with internal leadership (Product, Data, Finance, Marketing) to identify capability gaps and acquisition targets
- Represent Homa at industry events, conferences, and private deal rooms, positioning the company as the partner of choice
- Build long-term relationships with investors, platforms (Apple, Google, TikTok, Meta), and other key stakeholders
- Track industry trends and anticipate shifts in gaming, adtech, and entertainment to inform Homa’s strategic roadmap
- This is not a classic “BD” role—it’s a frontline, high-stakes position at the heart of Homa’s growth strategy. You’ll be the person who scouts, negotiates, and seals deals that redefine the gaming industry
- Within your first 12 months, success looks like:
- Signing multi-year, high-value partnerships with 3–5 top studios
- Executing at least one strategic M&A or investment deal that expands Homa’s capabilities or IP portfolio
- Establishing Homa as a top-tier destination for ambitious studios worldwide
Our take
Mobile gaming continues to grow in popularity, and more and more big companies and franchises are publishing their offerings for download, but this has made it extremely hard for small games, with small teams, to stand out. Homa Games builds tools for developers to build successful mobile games, including publishing and monetising their products.
Homa Games is the world’s leading platform for mobile game creation and publishing and is one of the companies driving the industry towards a data-driven and systematic approach. The company helps developers build faster, with testing tools; create more popular games through market intelligence; and remove financial risk by offering smart in-app advertisements and distribution management.
Since 2018, Homa Games has attracted one billion downloads for its published games. The company has raised an impressive level of funding that will be used to improve its tech stack and expand into web3 and NFTs, and it has acquired and partnered with other technologies towards this next goal. Ultimately, Homa Games wants to build a universe of interconnected games with virtual worlds and characters owned by creators and players, an ambitious task that it will be interesting to see if they can achieve.
