Role
Who you are
- A minimum of 4 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience in software/technology; healthcare or regulated industry experience a plus
- Skilled in consultative, solution-based selling with a track record of closing multi-contact opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through self-prospecting
- Comfortable engaging with multiple decision-makers (clinical, operational, executive) within an account
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient in a remote sales environment
- BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant sales experience
What the job involves
- As an SMB Account Executive at Medely, you’ll own the full sales cycle with outpatient healthcare facilities: from prospecting and discovery through tailored solution demos and closing
- While your focus will be on the SMB market today, you’ll be working in a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales environment designed to set you up for success as Medely expands into more complex, mid-market opportunities
- You’ll combine strategic territory planning with high-quality, consistent activity to drive adoption of Medely’s healthcare staffing platform
- Success in this role comes from understanding each facility’s operational and staffing challenges and positioning Medely as a long-term, value-driven partner
- Within one month, you will…
- Ramp quickly on Medely’s platform, value proposition, and the healthcare staffing landscape
- Begin 1:1s with your manager, align on your 30-60-90 plan, and shadow discovery and demo calls
- Learn the sales tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, Google Workspace) and territory structure
- Start building your outbound prospect list and following up on inbound leads
- Within three months, you will…
- Own a territory plan for outpatient healthcare facilities in your assigned region
- Run consultative discovery calls that uncover operational pain points and staffing needs
- Demonstrate Medely’s platform with confidence, tailoring use cases to each facility type
- Generate pipeline primarily through self-prospecting; while some inbound opportunities will come your way, the majority of your success will come from your own outreach and relationship-building
- Begin closing your first deals
- Within six months, you will…
- Consistently meet or exceed activity metrics and pipeline targets
- Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles, engaging both clinical and administrative decision-makers
- Build a steady stream of net new opportunities while also expanding relationships with existing customers
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and high adoption
- Within one year, you will…
- Be a top-performing AE, exceeding quota and contributing to Medely’s growth in your market
- Share market insights with leadership to refine our go-to-market approach
- Mentor newer AEs as they ramp

Medely provides health professionals with an online portal for finding work. Nurses and allied healthcare providers can utilise the platform to secure a job when it suits them and at their preferred rates. Healthcare centres use the system to find suitable employees, manage their workforce, and track billable hours.
There is a worldwide nursing shortage, with burnout common among healthcare professionals, leaving many healthcare employers to increasingly rely on data-driven recruitment tools such as Medely. By offering greater flexibility and bringing casual work to healthcare, the company aims to reduce shortages and increase industry retention - even giving workers who previously left the sector a way back in.
Medely has secured a good stance in the field of the nursing gig economy, with several thousand hospitals and outpatient facilities using the company for their staffing needs.
