Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years’ experience in operations, business operations or chief of staff roles within a fast-growing startup or scale-up
- Proven experience taking ownership of cross-functional operational processes end-to-end
- Experience building or significantly improving internal systems, workflows and documentation
- Strong project management skills, able to run multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership
- Experience working with distributed teams across timezones
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive in identifying operational gaps
Desirable
- Experience managing compliance, regulatory or certification-related projects
- Exposure to HR operations or employee onboarding processes
- Experience selecting and implementing tooling for distributed teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on operational performance metrics
- Experience in sustainability, climate tech or other purpose-driven sectors
What the job involves
- Zevero is looking for an Operations Manager to help architect how a global climate tech company runs. Working directly with founders and UK leadership, you will design the systems, processes and operational infrastructure that enable scale across the UK, Japan and APAC. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to shape the backbone of a fast-growing, mission-driven business.
- Take operational ownership of recurring tasks currently handled by founders and leadership
- Act as the first point of contact for operational queries, resolving issues independently wherever possible
- Build and maintain internal systems, documentation and processes to support scale
- Audit and improve internal tools across project management, communication and reporting
- Strengthen collaboration across UK, Japan and APAC teams, improving async communication and cross-timezone workflows
- Project manage compliance-related initiatives, coordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Improve and own the onboarding experience for new hires
- Identify structural bottlenecks in how the business operates and implement scalable solutions
