Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in product operations experience, preferably within the prop-tech or property management sector
- 2+ years of your experience should be directly managing other team members
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex product operations in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working with cross-functional teams to drive product development and delivery
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer feedback and data insights into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures to drive efficiency and scale
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Experience with property management software, real estate technology, or related platforms is highly desirable
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the successful execution of our product strategy within the prop-tech or property management sector
- Manage the product operations organization; grow, mentor, and hold accountable all team members under your direct supervision
- Lead and manage the post-release product lifecycle, from product analysis, issue resolution, workflow optimization, and cross department coordination of execution while adhering to tight project timelines
- Collaborate with the product management team to define update and/or fix requirements and align those to strategic objectives based on market trends and customer needs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalable processes
- Conduct regular analysis of product performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, to align product operations with business goals and objectives
- Collaborate with the technology team to ensure the successful integration and implementation of product features and enhancements
- Monitor and address customer feedback, inquiries, and issues related to product operations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution in partnership with the Customer Success team
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to provide recommendations for product enhancements and innovation
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the product operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- A desire to progress into people management is a plus

LeaseLock is an insurtech company offering real estate insurance designed to make security deposits obsolete. According to LeaseLock, security deposits don't offer adequate protection, reduce lease conversions, and they're a hassle to enforce and collect. With LeaseLock, renters pay a small monthly insurance fee in place of their deposit, and this offers up to $5000 coverage for damage.
The legal background of co-founder Reichen Kuhl has no doubt informed development when it comes to creating products that help both property owners and renters to work with US security deposit legislation. To date, LeaseLock has insured upwards of $6 billion in leases, proving that there is a real market for its products.
Despite this proven success, the company, which is not yet profitable, was forced to make layoffs in 2022 in order to extend its runway - a result of the macroeconomic conditions causing similar layoffs across the board. It has also appointed a new CEO, and seems positive these moves will allow it to remain the leading lease insurance provider for rental housing as it pursues further growth in the coming years.
