Dental surgery robotics company Neocis's key offering is the robot-assisted dental implant surgery solution ‘Yomi’. Yomi has been shown to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost for complex dental interventions, whilst helping invasive procedures become less painful and error-prone.
With upwards of 5 million implants performed annually in the United States, the appetite for a solution that drives down practitioner costs, whilst reducing risk of error and liability should be substantial. However, the uptake of Yomi will depend on how far Neocis can persuade practitioners to splash out on the initial $150,000 equipment purchase.
As the only FDA-approved dental implant surgery robotics platform on the market, Yomi is already in use at two top dental schools in the country, and has received substantial new investment from healthcare and industry giants including Dr. Fred Moll, sometimes referred to as the “father of robotic surgery”. If they can navigate the obstacles in this forward-looking market, in which they face little competition, Neocis could become a true breakthrough business.
