What the job involves

As a Publisher Partnerships Lead, you will establish and manage strategic partnerships with gaming publishers to drive business growth and foster mutually beneficial relationships
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities, negotiate agreements, and ensure the successful execution and activation of those initiatives
Help manage and scale existing partnerships to drive growth across all our leagues
Identify new publishers to engage with, evaluate inbound requests, and effectively communicate the value proposition for each publishing partner’s IP
Draft and deliver pitches, presentations, reference materials, and other documents as required
Build strong relationships to drive value from each key external partner
Build financial models to drive high ROI from partnership opportunities
Ability to gather and distill data to identify strategic opportunities to drive engagement and growth across all users
Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Product to support the successful development and execution of partnerships
Establish and track measures of success for our partners

Our take

PlayVS is an eSports company which allows high schools and colleges to organise leagues and events via an online portal. It operates like a governing body and organisational system for interschool esports competitions, and even includes player and team performance metrics and a high school scholarship pool.

The profile of the eSports world is rising at a rapid pace, and PlayVS is growing just as quickly, striking deals with school sports organisations and big-name game publishers. In just a few years, it's grown its footprint to all 50 states and is set to expand into Canada after acquiring GameSeta, a Vancouver-based company with a similar eSports infrastructure model.

While the company's rise across schools and colleges has been remarkable, there are plans to move into the general consumer market. On the back of its significant funding rounds, it’ll be interesting to see if it can roll out a new generation of direct-to-consumer products.
