Who you are
- Be good at learning new things in depth, fast. You’ll be able to research a topic, then clearly articulate your findings to the rest of the team
- Care about what you do. In our experience, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn go much beyond simply having experience in something. Plus, it makes work more fun for you and the people around you
- Be a good communicator. We find that most of our problems stem from bad communication (both internally and externally), so it's really important to know when to say something and how to say it
- In an ideal world, we want to hire someone with meaningful experience in the following: Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, web app development, MVC Frameworks. But a proven track record of being a fast learner and delivering great results beats specific experiences every time in our eyes
What the job involves
- We're looking for senior developers who share our passion for tackling complexity and building simple, beautiful, and scalable software
- You will join a team of 7 other developers focused on building and maintaining our product
- Working as part of a small dynamic team of developers, your responsibilities will be varied. Day-to-day you'll be:
- Turning product requirements into functional features
- Contributing to all parts of the software development process from architectural design and task planning all the way through to implementation, testing, and documentation
- Helping ensure that all code written conforms to our coding standards and best practices
- Suggesting improvements to our technology stack, coding standards, and processes as you see fit
- Reviewing code submitted by other developers, offering feedback and improvements
- We do everything we can (and will continue to try and improve in this area) to allow our development team to build and ship features. This involves trying to create detailed specs and designs ahead of time and keeping processes and distractions to a minimum
- We don't care when you work except for a daily meeting at 9.30 am UK time (sorry!) as long as you get your work done
- You’ll constantly be pushing the boundaries of your knowledge and experience

Further growth for the company is set to depend largely on increasing the size of its team to expand its global footprint.
