Who you are
- Proven Experience: A track record of successfully scaling or co-scaling SaaS companies to over $100 million in revenue
- Global Perspective: Experience working across multiple regions, including North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of global management
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team, with a strong focus on coaching and developing your Geos to achieve their objectives
- Revenue Execution Expertise: Ability to help the Geos adapt our global playbook for strategies and execution across the customer journey, including pipeline management, pricing, and contract negotiation. This may include using direct and indirect channels to scale appropriately
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, develop market entry strategies, and adapt to evolving market dynamics
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex concepts and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders
- Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge of legacy industries, and a passion for driving innovation and transformation. Transportation and mobility experience are not mandatory
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Vice President of Global Revenue will play a critical role in leading and executing revenue strategies to achieve Optibus' ambitious growth targets
- The VP will lead our global revenue leadership team, consisting of four General Managers (GMs) responsible for specific geographic regions (Geos) of NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC
- Additionally they will manage a global presales team in a shared service model for the GMs
- Revenue Execution: Execute and adapt our global playbook for revenue attainment across the customer journey, with focus on enterprise and top global accounts, ensuring achievement of growth targets across revenue growth, customer retention and CLTV
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership to the four General Managers, guiding and supporting their efforts to achieve revenue goals and effectively coach and grow their respective geographies
- Global Presales Management: Oversee the global presales team, ensuring effective collaboration with sales, marketing, partnership and product teams to drive revenue opportunities across the customer journey and deliver compelling proposals to enterprise customers
- Strategic Account Development: Identify and pursue strategic development opportunities to expand Optibus' presence in new and existing markets, including building out additional infrastructure to support the function
- Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: Collaborate with the GM’s, finance and revenue operations teams to develop accurate revenue forecasts and provide regular updates to the CRO and executive leadership, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement across the globe
- Customer Journey Focus: Collaborate closely with other key departments in the Revenue team, including Marketing and Rev Ops, alongside other global leadership involved in the Customer Journey including Customer Success and Product/R&D
Our take
Public transport is cheaper, greener and more available to the general public than most private transport alternatives. Yet it suffers from major defects. It is often criticised for being unreliable and of poor quality, leading users to look elsewhere; often towards solutions which clog cities' transport systems even more.
