Role
Who you are
- Highly numerate graduate or junior analyst with a STEM or financial background. This could include qualifications such as a BSc, MSc, or PhD in areas like mathematics, statistics, chemistry, physics, economics, or finance, but other relevant qualifications or experience will also be considered
- Analytical thinker with a natural aptitude for identifying patterns and deriving meaningful insights from data, with the ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data sources
- A proactive problem solver, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, with the ability to tackle challenges directly linked to the business’s performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves interaction with a broad range of stakeholders
- A genuine interest in Finance, Economics, and FinTech
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with coding (e.g. SQL, Python), data processing, data visualisation, or credit risk is beneficial but not essential
- Experience with Excel modelling is considered an advantage
What the job involves
- ⏰ Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm (37.5h pw)
- This role will give you an opportunity to dive into a world of data, strategic analytics, and funding driven initiatives, all while reporting into the Credit Risk function
- You'll not only be influencing our approach to driving profitable originations, but will also touch upon areas like Customer Management, Credit Risk, and Finance. - sounds exciting right?!
- Play a pivotal role in enhancing the profitability of Oodle's Hire Purchase product by offering insights, optimisations, and cost efficiencies
- Forge robust partnerships across Oodle, ensuring key insights, monitoring, and oversight are efficiently communicated to a spectrum of teams — from operations to senior stakeholders
- Drive initiatives to enhance Oodle’s credit risk strategies, making use of both internal and external datasets
- Delve into Oodle’s portfolio data, ensuring our agreements consistently meet performance standards
- Contribution to refining view of new origination unit economics
- Contribute to refining Oodle’s loss forecasting and provisioning methodologies, offering a clearer lens on risk and return
- Drive strategic initiatives in credit risk management, optimising processes, and offering actionable insights to the broader team
