Role
Who you are
- Experience with Public Cloud (AWS, all major services, including S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, R53)
- Hands on experience with Containerisation (EKS/Kubernetes, Istio
- Exposure of Cloud-Native Networking principles ( Transit Gateway, VPC Routing )
- Must have good experience with Infrastructure as Code ( Terraform / Helm )
- Experience with Security (AWS Security Hub)
What the job involves
- Production Engineering at Pismo is a diverse, dedicated and passionate team of engineers and leaders, responsible for providing the core infrastructure for Pismo’s growing product platform across the globe. We are guided by best practices based on testing, continuous integration, automation and reliability
- Within Production Engineering, the Platform squad primarily focusses on building, maintaining and improving Pismo's core infrastructure hosted in AWS - including Kubernetes clusters, networking (VPCs, public and private connectivity, DirectConnects and VPNs) and security maintenance
- Technological assistance for the other team members
- Implement technology strategy and build projects
- Proactive and driven approach to problem-solving
- Skilled in automation to help the team to develop solutions and solve problems
- Identifies and eliminates technical barriers before they become blockers
- Ensures the squad meets quality, functionality and security standards
- Handle production incidents during working-hours as part of a follow-the-sun rota
