Who you are
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage workload effectively
- Discreet, professional, and possess a high degree of confidentiality
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- We are seeking a motivated and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, operational and strategic support to the CEO
- As the right-hand to the CEO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations by managing schedules, handling communications, and coordinating various tasks
- As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will have the opportunity to grow within the organization
- Demonstrating strong performance and initiative can lead to increased responsibilities, such as managing key projects, contributing to strategic planning, and eventually advancing to a higher executive support role
- Manage the CEO's calendar, including scheduling meetings, executive meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Organize and prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
- Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
- Draft and edit correspondence, communications, and other documents on behalf of the CEO
- Prepare professional presentations, reports, and other documents
- Screen and prioritize emails, phone calls, and other communications
- Assist with project planning, organization, and execution
- Manage deadlines, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Anticipate needs and proactively prepare materials for meetings or presentations
- Lead, coordinate and manage special projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO
- Arrange domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and itineraries
- Handle travel-related expenses and reimbursements
- Ensure seamless travel by anticipating and addressing potential issues
- Maintain an organized and efficient office environment
- Coordinate with administrative staff and external vendors
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Assist with personal tasks and errands as needed
- Conduct research and gather information for strategic initiatives
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and research
- Assist in the preparation and review of strategic plans and documents
Our take
With many real estate insurers relying on a generalised approach, homeowners and landlords often have to pick up the slack when it comes to complex and serious claims. Plus, insuring properties against rising costs in the US means many insurers simply won't cover a large portion of homes.
Honeycomb Insurance aims to remedy these real estate coverage issues using AI and computer vision to quantify insurance claim costs. It analyses aerial photographs of building roofs and street-level shots to analyse quality and risk, thus removing the need for expensive physical inspections. This means the company can accurately underwrite risks in a fraction of the time, and deliver a better service to more consumers.
The value of this offering is showcased by Honeycomb's expansion to operate across 16 states. It now covers around 60% of the US market and has over $20 billion in assets under its belt. A substantial Series B round in 2024 will help it grow into new insurance markets and accelerate its AI-powered tech, as it aims to triple this asset value by 2025.
