Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a “product person” who knows how to build software products. Someone who speaks the language of engineers and designers, and doesn’t rely too heavily on them to devise and evaluate solutions
- Someone who is intelligent, charismatic, ambitious, and intellectually honest to know how to work with end users and elicit non-obvious requirements
- Someone who writes well and can communicate difficult concepts clearly and objectively and knows how to communicate with different audiences
- Finally, someone who is organized and naturally drives projects with the sense of ownership of a startup founder
- We are especially interested in candidates who have led product initiatives working on B2B/SaaS projects, involving aspects of creative support, data visualization, or modern collaboration
- You have been involved in the building of software products for several years
- You have led impactful product initiatives, even if Product Manager is not your job title
- You have a comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technologies and best practices
- You are naturally inclined to apply a design thinking approach to problem solving, and iteratively seek to understand your users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions which you can prototype and test
- You work effectively with designers and engineers, leading with context, setting clear expectations, and seeking pragmatic solutions

What the job involves
- Our product is currently in broad use at 8 of the largest military headquarters in the world. 3 of the 4 biggest operational plans in the US are currently built with Onebrief. Last year, we achieved 100% gross retention and 158% net retention—our revenue grew 4x and reached double-digit millions
- As a Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to shape our product bets and to enable our teams to ship work that matters consistently and at a fast rate
- Starting with opportunities identified with our leadership team, you will refine the problem definition, design a high-level solution, unpack risks and assumptions, and establish hard “no-gos”—all to ensure that projects are executed successfully with virtually no risk to schedule
- This is a critical position, with significant impact
- You will work closely with planners around the world, conducting thorough research to elicit requirements and translate them into effective solutions
- You will report directly to Rafa, our Head of Product and co-founder
Our take
Onebrief is transforming military planning with its software platform, which simplifies and speeds up operational tasks for US military headquarters worldwide. The platform enhances decision-making and streamlines complex planning, supporting various missions from defence to humanitarian aid.
The company recently launched an API for better integration with other military tools and is developing offline access for remote use. With a growing team and new AI features, Onebrief continues to innovate to meet the evolving needs of military users.
To fuel this growth, the company has secured substantial funding. This investments will be used to expand the engineering team and drive further product development, ensuring Onebrief stays ahead in the military technology space.
