What the job involves
- We’re looking to bring on our first Content & Product Marketing Manager to refine Pulley’s messaging and create content that drives brand awareness, generates demand, and differentiates Pulley in the market
- You’ll be the second marketer on the team and will own:
- Content & Product Marketing Strategy: Take Pulley’s content and PMM efforts from their early stages and create a world-class storytelling function within the company
- Develop a deep understanding of our audiences and build the messaging, content calendar, and product positioning to engage them
- Ensure Content & PMM goals are aligned with company-level objectives and timelines
- Full-Funnel Content Creation: Plan and produce content that positions our company as an industry leader and drives demand for Pulley’s product
- This includes writing for traditional content formats like blog posts, guides, and case studies, but also creating videos, tools and templates, interactive demos, and presentations for industry events
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling product narratives that resonate with our target audience
- Own the creation and refinement of product messaging, ensuring consistency across all channels including the website, email, sales content, etc
- Product Launches: Develop and execute strategies for new product launches and feature updates
- Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure smooth execution and hit shared launch targets
- Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research and gather customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Own competitive positioning and develop content and programs to reinforce Pulley’s leadership in the market
Our take
Getting a permit to develop a property can be a painfully long process, regardless of whether it is a small extension or a completely new build. Archaic communication workflows make the process unnecessarily slow, and a lack of a transparent permitting system often leaves developers in the dark regarding the permitting progress for months.
Pulley provides construction permitting software for property developers and homeowners, allowing them to plan, apply for a permit, submit it to city reviewers, and track progress within the same platform. The platform allows users to search an address to understand the exact permits required, with every project member having access to a progress timeline to maintain transparency and solidify deadlines.
Whilst the company will face challenges due to the conservative nature of paperwork-based construction permits, Pulley shows great potential to overcome them by focussing on making the job easier for everyone. Through this approach, the company aims to reduce permitting time, make jobs more efficient for city reviewers, and provide new opportunities for permit providers.
