What the job involves
- Reporting to: VP Operations
- Time Out Market currently operates over 13 markets worldwide and is expanding very quickly
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented IT Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Technology in driving technological advancements within the company
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Technology to deliver successful project outcomes
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle on various technology related tasks - networking, AV, software enrollment
- Work in tandem with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure optimal support for our existing markets
- Oversee the technical health and performance of market systems
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to identify opportunities for technology enhancement
- Implement strategies to streamline operations and improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge bases
- Align with the broader Time Out Group policies
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal stakeholders, including training and presentations of systems
- Supporting and guiding management and executives to understand the need for change
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring all technological operations align with group standards
- Actively participate in the project team meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of new technological solutions and markets
Our take
Originally founded in 1968, the aim of Time Out was to provide reliable information about cultural happenings through the form of a magazine. It was intended to be an 'insider's guide' and included details about art, film, concerts, theatres and more.
Since then its diversified to include food and restaurants, and has straddled both the travel and hospitality sectors. And to keep up with the times, it has transitioned to digital advertising and social media.
Its also received new equity investment through a 2016 IPO, and made big strategic moves from this. Part of this move included stopping the print publication and instead placing a greater emphasis on its digital content. Time Out's current CEO, Chris Ohlund, has said he would be leading the company into its 'next phase of global growth' which has so far included the announcement of a global video collaboration program amongst its digital innovations.
