Who you are
- Have 2-3+ years of experience with high volume product support, preferably in a second tier, escalated, or priority support team
- Are skilled at debugging API errors and can deeply understand technical docs with ease
- Have demonstrated an ability to thrive in fast-paced, reactive situations
- Possess strong user empathy and are expert in the lifecycle of a support case; you can read between the lines of a user’s question, put yourself in their shoes, and get at the heart of their needs for a speedy, satisfying resolution
- Have crisp but kind written communication skills and a deep care for the details
- Enjoy helping others learn about new features and complex concepts
- Are persistent and curious; you delight in the hunt of tracking down a bug or issue, and are energized by fixing this for all similar users going forward
- We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Specialists in London will work either Tues - Sat or Sun - Thurs
What the job involves
- We are hiring a Product Support Specialist to join Anthropic. In this role, you’ll be at the front lines of safely delivering AI to the world. By responding to, investigating, and tracking user needs, you will help ensure users have a great experience with Anthropic products
- Become an expert in all Anthropic products
- Respond to user support cases in a medium to high volume environment
- Clearly and empathetically communicate with a wide range of user personas
- Manage on-call tasks for high-urgency user issues with extreme ownership
- Prioritize critically and comfortably adapt to an ever-evolving product landscape
- Partner with engineers, teammates, and other internal stakeholders to diagnose and resolve user issues, both individually and at scale
- Provide suggestions for improving user satisfaction through support processes as well as to increase efficiency and drive down contact rates
Our take
Funded by Google and founded by ex-OpenAI employees, Anthropic is an AI company focused on building a reliable, innovative AI system. While the company is relatively new to the market it has already launched a highly anticipated AI chat assistant called Claude which is set to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT.
Similar to other chatbots, Claude is accessible through a chat interface and can provide a number of conversation and text-processing tasks. A key point of differentiation is that Claude is designed to produce less harmful outputs than that of the other chatbots that came before it.
While there is much praise for the chat assistant, there is still room for improvement with feedback reporting that Claude is worse at maths and grammar compared to its rival. However, with industry giants like Google backing this company from an early stage, it is clear Anthropic has the potential to become a leading player within the AI industry.
