Role
Who you are
- You believe in the importance of real-world human connection and are passionate about our mission to help the world connect more meaningfully in real life
- You have 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition roles in the tech industry (preferably at growth-stage startups) and a strong viewpoint on how to recruit world-class talent
- You have a strong track record of results and impact, in or outside of the recruiting function. You have experience gathering buy-in from leadership and deploying initiatives that move the needle in a meaningful way
- You maintain a strong understanding of the nuances between technical and non-technical recruiting, with the ability to re-prioritize roles based on evolving company objectives
- You make data-backed decisions, with experience establishing and tracking metrics that define the success of processes across the full recruiting lifecycle
- You have demonstrated experience operating successfully in a dynamic, startup environment, with excitement to flex between strategic leadership and hands-on execution
- You are a strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills
- You have high EQ and have an easy time connecting with people
What the job involves
- As the first recruiting hire, reporting to the Head of People, you will have a unique opportunity to shape a culture that promotes thoughtfulness, creativity, and innovative velocity

- In this role, your focus will be simple: maximize talent density. You will accomplish this by conducting both 1:1 outreach and scalable strategies that lay the groundwork for an efficient and effective recruiting function, exciting the smartest people in the world to join our mission
- Collaborate with the Head of People to execute and iterate on the companywide headcount plan for 2025 and beyond
- Conduct daily cold outreach and introductory phone screens, ensuring the talent pipeline for high-impact roles are consistently filled with exceptional candidates - maintain a ridiculously high bar for talent
- Use data-driven insights to optimize existing processes, maximize hiring efficiency, and create scalable recruitment strategies that enable us to build a world-class team
- Establish standardized recruitment policies, SOPs, and candidate scoring ideologies for all functions across the organization. Ensure leadership alignment and implementation
- Act as a resource for department heads and hiring managers across the organization, playing a meaningful part in the hiring process for our most high-leverage roles
- Balance priorities to ensure support is provided to the functions that need it most, prioritizing the roles that align most with our current objectives
- Move the company away from external recruiting agencies and partnerships, laying the groundwork to bring all recruiting in-house with an unstoppable talent team
- Own the full stack of our talent brand; collaborating with Marketing on top-of-funnel and engaging with companywide leadership to ensure a best-in-class candidate experience at every step of the recruiting lifecycle
- Draft and negotiate compelling offers, ensuring compensation and benefits remain competitive and aligned with industry standards
- Manage the end-to-end sponsorship process for international candidates with help from company counsel

Founded by two NYU "dropouts", the platform has rapidly expanded, now serving over 2 million users and processing more than $80 million in transactions. With a recent large round in venture funding, POSH plans to continue enhancing its platform with new features and improved user experiences, positioning itself as a leader in the event planning industry.
