Who you are
- 3+ years of fullstack-focused web development experience including:
- Familiarity with modern technologies—Ruby on Rails and React are a plus
- Designing and building APIs
- Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
- Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
- Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint
What the job involves
- Snapsheet is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Foundational Services Team
- The Foundational Services Team at Snapsheet is responsible for developing services within our cloud architecture that serve as the fundamental components for our customer-facing applications
- This encompasses a wide range of projects, including user authentication and customer-configured system automation
- Building a new background job platform with Amazon SQS
- Developing a webhook feature for our Workflows platform
- Helping to plan the implementation of a comprehensive MFA feature for our login flow
- Learn how we provide customer support and collaborate with a teammate
- Get familiar with our project management cycle and contribute to Cooldown weeks (system upgrades, maintenance, bug fixes)
- Ask questions, get comfortable with our core services, and ramp up quickly

- Frameworks: Ruby on Rails and React

- Infrastructure: MySQL, Redis, Docker, S3, Cloudfront, CDKTF

Snapsheet delivers end-to-end and modular cloud SaaS solutions for claims management, helping to digitize and automate the space. Its vast capabilities, including an AI-powered damage estimation tool, make claims processes easier to manage and less risk-prone for clients and providers alike.
In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in insurtech, which has certainly helped Snapsheet capture clients and support as it expands. As the sector continues to reassess procedures across the board, a further shift towards automation seems likely, driving yet more clients towards the kind of offerings that the company provides.
