Company mission

To empower companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way.

Role

Who you are

An individual who can talk about the business and bring like-minded customer use cases and success stories to customer executives, while simultaneously getting detailed on specific capabilities with an implementation partner or customer stakeholders
  • 10+ years in product management
  • Experience owning product strategy and delivery for commerce products
  • Strong understanding of B2B Commerce customers and use cases across several industries
  • Background working closely with customers, implementation partners and sales teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering, UX design and cross-functional teams
  • Clear and compelling communicator with executive presence and storytelling ability
  • Track record of delivering and launching “0→1” products and scaling them successfully

Desirable

  • B2B Commerce domain experience, especially in extending or customizing to achieve customer specific requirements
  • Design and UX orientation with an ability to envision compelling, modern experiences
  • Experience working with customers during pre-purchase discussions, and challenges encountered during implementation
  • Previous work in high-growth, innovation-focused, customer-centric environments
  • Technical degree or MBA is a plus

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for an outstanding product leader to help drive the evolution of B2B Commerce. Someone who will shape the future of how customers extend the platform to achieve their business specific requirements, and help unlock the most complex transactions within self-service experiences
  • This role is responsible for building flexible, intuitive, and scalable commerce solutions with Salesforce’s B2B Commerce product. This includes setting a product vision grounded in customer success, and driving execution of that vision alongside partners in engineering, UX design and marketing
  • The role will play a heavy role in both pre and post sales activities with customers
  • You’ll set the vision and build the framework for extensibility across all B2B Commerce capabilities, and drive interoperability across Salesforce clouds-specifically with Salesforce’s Revenue Cloud products. Additionally, you’ll play a critical role in GTM activities helping shape our marketing messaging and engage with customers pre-purchase to help them understand the capabilities and value our product can provide
  • This role requires a technical mindset to partner with engineering on how our customers can best build their own business processes and experiences, while promoting maximum reuse of the B2B Commerce product
  • As a cross-functional leader, you’ll own our roadmap with Revenue Cloud with the goal to unlock the most complex purchasing processes in a self-service portal. You’ll be expected to work closely and form relationships with customers and partners to ensure product-market fit, customer adoption and long-term platform success
  • Outside of building the product, you’ll partner closely with sales to support pre-purchase conversations and challenges that may occur during or after implementation to ensure customer success. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to scale our messaging both within Salesforce and externally
  • Internally, you’ll enhance and help maintain an already strong product culture rooted in empathy, technical curiosity, outcome-driven thinking and customer success

Our take

Salesforce is a global cloud computing company, best known for its on-demand, comprehensive customer relationship management (CRM) solutions. The company was launched to mitigate the doubts that business owners felt regarding third party companies holding their data.

By providing essential, customer-oriented CRM software, Salesforce places itself at the heart of digitised businesses. Furthermore, by building out its AI capabilities, the company removes the complexity of AI, enabling any business to deliver smarter, personalised and more predictive customer experiences.

Due to the continued innovation offered by the company, over 150,000 companies, both big and small, are growing their business with Salesforce today. Despite a tumultuous 2023 filled with activist investors, a boardroom shake-up and the unprecedented step-down of Co-CEO Bret Taylor, Salesforce continues to close several acquisition deals and managed to drive up its stock value by 96% from the end of 2022 to 2023.
