Who you are
- Must be located in the greater Chicagoland, IL area
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in revenue accounting, project accounting, or financial reporting, with
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Expertise in ASC 606 and IFRS 15
- Team management experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders
- A genuine Interest in sustainability and making a meaningful impact on the environment

- Resource Innovations is seeking an Accounting Director of Revenue in Illinois to join our growing team
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated an Accounting Director of Revenue with a strong background in revenue recognition and project-based accounting to join our dynamic team
- The Accounting Director of Revenue will be working closely with a team that includes a Senior Manager and a Lead to help run initiatives and manage delivery units
- The position involves overseeing and guiding a team focused on revenue recognition, while ensuring that the company’s financial statements accurately reflect the performance of contracts and projects
- The Director will also be responsible for leading new initiatives and managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- The Director’s role is integral in ensuring the accurate recording of revenue, creating actionable insights from financial data, and driving process efficiency through continual improvements
- Strong leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with multiple departments, and a focus on team development are key to success in this role

- Overseeing revenue recognition in compliance with relevant standards such as ASC 606 and IFRS 15
- Ensure proper classification of revenues, unbilled receivables, and deferred revenues for each project
- Prepare and review detailed financial reports
- Manage project accounting tasks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue-related inquiries from operations, legal, and sales teams
- Other duties as assigned
