Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience as a product marketer, with an emphasis on product marketing for B2B SaaS products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the B2B fintech space, preferably with ERP solutions
- Success driving results in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Strategic Thinker and Executor: Ability to articulate large complex challenges and plan holistically to develop and execute well-thought out solutions
- Product Expert: Intimately know the product. Launch and monetize new features to the installed base as well as to prospects by developing the messaging and core upsell programs and by partnering with the Sales and Support teams
- Customer Expert and Champion: Be the voice of the customer. Know the customer needs, buyer journey, language, and overall mindset of the mid market segments and turn those insights into messages and programs that resonate. Champion the customer needs across the company
- Collaborative Partner: Ability to work cross functionally and influence without authority
- Sales Enabler: Work closely with the sales team to deliver sales plays and tools to close new business, especially for our larger customers. Continue to evolve the process to address objections, competition, new capabilities and market shifts
- Competitive Guru: Stay on top of the competition for this market segment. Contribute to competitive battlecards and keep the product and sales teams informed about changes in the competitive landscape. Be a champion for new features that are important to stay ahead of competition
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to take a data-driven approach to measure, assess and recommend where to focus. Deeply understand the business metrics (e.g., funnel metrics, test results, sales process insights) and conduct customer research to uncover new insights
What the job involves
- Drive adoption of our product within target segments
- Craft world-class messaging to support your GTMS plans, particularly for our accounting software sync and integration capabilities
- Own and drive GTMS “soup to nuts”, working cross functionally
- Partner with teams to develop top of funnel marketing strategies
- Create content to support onboarding and product adoption
- Deliver sales enablement content to arm reps with the training needed to pitch BILL capabilities and products
- Measure effectiveness of your GTMs
Our take
Invoice2go founder Chris Strode developed the invoicing app on his daily commute while working as a freelance programmer. He struggled with existing invoicing software and was seeking something simpler with which to invoice his clients.
The all-in-one Invoice2go tool is designed specifically for small businesses and freelancers, allowing them to manage customer relationships, send invoices, accept payments, and create an online presence. Invoice2go now serves a global customer base comprising more than 225,000 businesses, processing $24 billion of payments every year.
Due to its more focused audience, Invoice2go may not position itself in direct competition with larger finance management companies such as Quicken and MYOB, although it will have to keep an eye on threats from similar startups such as Invoice Ninja, Zoho Invoice, and FreshBooks.
In mid-2021, Invoice2go was acquired by back-office software provider Bill.com for $625 million and subsequently launched ‘Grow by Invoice2go’, an award and business development program for small businesses and underrepresented groups, exemplifying the company's continued focus on elevating the freelance and small business community.
