Our take
Blockchain technology presents great implications for the future of finance, with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin yielding benefits in the form of lucrative investments and decentralized transactions. However, traditional PoW (Proof of Work) blockchain protocols rely on incredibly high GPU usage, and this results in associated cryptocurrencies being power-hungry, expensive to use, and environmentally unsustainable.
Stakefish provides a blockchain staking service, allowing users to invest in cryptocurrencies and blockchains that are powered by a PoS (Proof of Stake) protocol, thus avoiding the resource intensity of PoW protocols. The company facilitates staking in Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, and other PoS networks, making it simpler for blockchain enthusiasts to secure their stake in a network and earn rewards.
Whilst traditional PoW cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin still dominate the blockchain landscape, Stakefish has recognized that sustainable attitudes are leading to a shift towards the securing of Ethereum and other PoS networks. Through its staking service, the company hopes to empower investors to secure the network of sustainable blockchains, and future-proofing cryptocurrency whilst benefitting from its lucrative nature.
