Who you are
- A strong STEM background and product experience, preferably Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Philosophy
- A Creative portfolio that showcases your best work, can be writing samples, powerpoints, video demos, podcasts, or more - we care less about the content format but more how you think and present ideas!
- Minimum 2 years experience in marketing, technical documentation, product, or entrepreneurial endeavors
- Excellent communicator - we expect strong verbal and written skills and your ability to adapt across a spectrum of different audiences, to empathize with your audience
- Fearless attitude: ability to dive into the unknown, research and quickly learn about a new topic and become a subject matter expert on it
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, creative addition to our Product and Marketing team to join our growing team in Boston (Somerville office right in the heart of Boynton Yards off Union Square)
- We’d like you to own the technical documentation as well as product documentation that’s customer-facing, engaging, and be a cross functional stakeholder in how Topsort presents its documentation to developers, customers, and general industry
- Craft Customer-Facing Documentation – Own and enhance all Topsort customer-facing documentation, from developer docs, changelogs to knowledge base, from API documentation to case studies, from website copy to email sequences
- Tell the Story of our Product and Technology – Go beyond traditional documentation—weave a compelling narrative that not only informs but also captivates users, making their learning experience seamless and enjoyable
- Collaborate with teammates and experts – Work closely with developers, engineers, product teams and even external industry experts to deeply understand the technology and translate it into well-structured, easy-to-follow documentation. At Topsort, we believe in community based approach to develop docs and documentation as marketing
- Keep the Story Fresh – Ensure all documentation evolves with our product, staying up to date with the latest features, changes, and improvements.Maintain clarity, consistency, and usability across all materials, ensuring that Topsort’s documentation stands out in both accuracy and engagement
Our take
With the likes of Meta, Amazon, and Google hosting the majority of ad campaigns, contemporary strategies can become overcomplicated and lacking in owner control. Topsort has created a simple and customisable API through which users can create advertising elements like sponsored listings, banner and video ads, and control how they’re shown to potential customers.
Where the platform stands out is in its transparency and privacy-first approach - delivering a direct replacement of the “cookie” system usually used in sponsored ads. Topsort’s “clean room” is an encrypted technology that has zero-visibility into privacy data, ensuring anonymity for those being analysed.
This exciting new approach to media marketing analysis and campaign planning has turned investors' heads, at a time when data privacy is a hot topic. Topsort has enjoyed an impressive Series A of $20 million, which will be used to scale and accelerate its growth.
