Role
Who you are
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a technical program manager
- Must have previously driven a product to launch
- Extremely detail oriented and follows up no matter how small the task
- Excellent communication skills: able to communicate complex ideas in an organized and coherent manner to a non-technical audience
- The ideal candidate has previous work experience in both software/hardware program management
Desirable
- Robotics, AV, and startup experience preferred
- Previous work as an engineer working on engineering product development preferred
What the job involves
- Structure schedules and milestones for new features and hardware builds and work with various engineering teams to deliver on these timelines; remove blockers and communicate risks and/or delays to leadership
- Be the point person/directly responsible individual for various key initiatives within various engineering teams
- Lead standups
- Project manage subcontractors and vendors
- Assist engineering teams with purchasing and procurement
- Coordinate the evaluation and purchasing of new tools
- Improve workflows and processes across hardware engineering to increase productivity
- This person is often the point-person for the team and is known for getting things done
Our take
Autonomous vehicles are big business at the moment, with companies such as Tesla, Google owned Waymo and Argo all vying to create the technologies that will transform the way we travel. ISEE finds its place in this thriving sector by specializing in autonomous trucks and using AI and deep learning technologies to create self-driving trucks that can learn and use the machine equivalent of common sense.
Speed, efficiency and safety are essential within the logistics and shipping industry. Rather than trying to program a reaction to an infinite number of possible events, ISEE is creating trucks that will learn and react autonomously, designing a computer system that drives like a human.
Following very strong revenue growth in 2022, ISEE has closed a Series B funding round which is being used to hire additional talent and further the development of its self-driving yard trucks. As the first, and only, company to achieve fully-autonomous operations there's certainly an exciting future ahead for ISEE.
