- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or similar) from an accredited four-year college or university
- You have advanced experience with Excel and experience with NetSuite
- You have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP with 2-4 years of previous experience in an accounting role
- Experience with internal controls a plus
What the job involves
- Ollie is looking for a Senior Accountant to be a key contributor of the growing finance and accounting team
- This person will be critical in helping to streamline the accounting close and facilitating the formalization and standardization of processes to build out a scalable and agile accounting team
- As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processes around retail invoicing and payment collection
- During the month, you will be responsible for creating financial reports for internal and external parties
- In addition to ownership of less complex areas, you will be responsible for reconciling cash and credit card balances each month
- Assist in the administration and reconciliation of various systems including the payroll platform (Justworks), invoice processing platform (Stampli) and credit card and travel platforms (Ramp & Navan)
- Assist in the evaluation, implementation and testing of internal control policies at Ollie
- Assist with the annual audit and tax compliance matters
- Assist management with one-off projects

Ollie is going after one of the fastest-growing segments of that market: organic, healthy and environmentally friendly dog food.
Ollie’s diet is curated by vets and packaged for the correct serving size based on your pet’s age and weight. The food is prepared in USDA approved kitchens that, when not cooking for Ollie, produces human food. This level of high quality is what makes Ollie so appealing for pet owners.
Crucially, the startup is a DTC brand, meaning that its success is driven wholly by its online presence and word of mouth, as well attracting funding from celebrities like Serena Williams. Given the exceptional quality of its product, successful funding rounds, strength of consumer market, and loyal customer base, it is poised for continued growth.
