Solution Architect, Amazon

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience with enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
• 3–5 years of experience in solutions architecture, technical advisory, or a similar customer-facing technical role
• Strong technical foundation in cloud architecture, data, AI/ML, and software development
• Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Familiarity with modern architectures such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven systems

• Develop and deliver technical content such as workshops, prototypes, and presentations and speak at events to help customers evaluate and adopt new technologies
• Lead technical discussions, whiteboarding sessions, and proof-of-concept activities to guide customer decision-making and drive innovation
• Contribute to organizational growth by providing product feedback to AWS engineering teams, participating in recruiting and interviewing, and mentoring teammates
• Your day as a Solutions Architect blends customer engagement, technical design, and hands-on building. You’ll meet with customers to understand their goals, design architectures to address their needs, and lead technical discussions to explore solutions. You build prototypes to help customers evaluate approaches, collaborate with account teams on next steps, or share best practices that accelerate adoption
• Throughout the day, you’ll stay current with evolving technologies and continuously apply what you learn to help customers move forward with confidence
• AWS Canada supports customers across the country, helping them adopt cloud technologies and accelerate innovation. The Solutions Architecture team works closely with customers and internal partners to design practical, scalable solutions tailored to each organization’s needs
