Role
Who you are
- Minimum 7 years experience in Pre-Sales Solutions consulting roles
- Minimum 5 years experience in data/technology/consulting related roles
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a highly consultative (technical and business) group of Pre-Sales Solutions Consultants
- Minimum 1+ years experience in marketing technology, customer data management, analytics, database management, or business intelligence tool configuration and programming
- Player-Coach with the ability and willingness to step in and assist the team where needed
- Curious, with a growth mindset, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You foster a client-focused attitude in your team — a customer advocate
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
- Thought leader on effective solution selling skills (discovery, demonstrations, workshops) who can work with the team to define and roll out consistent strategies used across the team
- Experience with customer data related technology - SQL, databases, data integration tools, APIs, Machine Learning
What the job involves
- As a Director of Pre-Sales Solution Consulting, you will hire, shape, develop, and mentor the team leading the technical aspects of the sales process, working directly with prospects to understand their key business objectives, key use cases, challenges, and their architecture/ecosystem, help prospects understand the Amperity Platform - what it does, how it works, and why it is important to brands, and help prospects understand how Amperity will fit within their ecosystem to enable their key use cases
- Recruit, enable, coach, and lead a team of Pre-sales Solution Consultants to support Sales efforts
- Be a consistent, empathetic, and available thought partner for your team; bolstering their technical expertise, fostering collaborative problem solving, and sharing best practices
- Work closely with the team to ensure each SC is setup for success, offering clear expectations, relevant enablement, access to needed resources
- Co-lead the team through consistent collaboration and thought sharing to identify opportunities for improvement, design effective solutions, and lead rollout of cross team strategies to positively impact the effectiveness of SCs
- Continuously learn the platform capabilities and give expert guidance on its applicability to customer ecosystems and use cases
- Work closely with cross functional leaders across Sales, Pilots, Services, and Product to continue to iterate and improve how teams work together to deliver impactful solutions for our customers

Following a $100 million funding round, while watching revenue grow 200% in mid-2021, the company hit unicorn status, proceeding to set its sights on international expansion. It has since strengthened its executive team and opened a new office in London - though, like many of its peers, the economic downturn has caused the company to undertake two rounds of layoffs within half a year. Despite this, the company remains positive as it targets new growth and partnerships in Europe.
