Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience in information security, B2B experience is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC and CIS CSC
- Experience managing and leading a team of information security professionals
- Knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with growing mid-level start-ups is desirable
- Work with the leading intelligent aerial imaging company with established, successful relationships across myriad industries
- This position is remote, but needs to be based in either the US or Canada
What the job involves
- As a Director of Information Security, your role will be to maintain overall security management and to ensure all the safety programs on the premises
- This role involves developing and directing policies and procedures to promote a safe and secured environment for the company through guidelines and safety programs
- Evaluate the company's current security posture and identify vulnerabilities and threats to the company's information assets
- Collaborate with IT leaders to implement effective solutions and educate business units on information security best practices
- Develop and maintain company-wide information security policies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay informed about emerging cyber security threats and contribute to the development of strategies to counter them
- Monitor and address non-compliance with information security standards through auditing processes
- Implement education programs to raise user awareness and ensure security compliance
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and audits to identify and remediate security gaps
