Who you are

Proficient in Photoshop or similar digital art software
Ability to capture likeness and adapt to a pre-established style
Strong understanding of color and light, and human anatomy
Drawing skills are a must
Must be able to replicate a watercolor/gouache, pen and ink look in a digital medium
Keyframe animation and experience working with animators/motion designers is a plus

What the job involves

Proven track record to use design to build compelling user experiences with a deep understanding of design theory including color, typography, and layout
Can critically approach design challenges and construct an intentional, purposeful solution while adapting design style and sensibility to the specific job and characteristics of a particular game or project
Understand, interpret, and execute against a creative brief
Be a proactive contributor to the creative process from the beginning of a project through delivery
Ability to channel and focus creativity and complete projects under challenging time constraints and deadlines
Work in small teams on both short and long-term deadlines, understand and execute on client feedback and/or team notes to achieve desired end product
This is a long-term contracted position through our staffing partner DZConneX. Contract extension will be based on upcoming projects

As a part of the process, candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio or demo reel of their work and will be asked to complete an art test as a part of the interview process

Since the release of the PS1 in 1994, PlayStation has been a consistent leader in the video gaming market. Its current flagship - the PS5 - promises to revolutionise gaming, featuring new technology that will create improvements across the board.

As well as its consoles, PlayStation has also developed online services, connecting its users and giving them access to diversified media. A PlayStation can be used for a huge range of activities - from Netflix to guided workouts - which has led to the expansion of the company's audience over time and across generations.

PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
